Commercial Kitchen Technician

Alexandria, VA/Baltimore, MD

Salary:

$66,560 to $93,600/year&

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.

Inspect equipment and related components regularly to maintain safety standards and optimal performance.

Communicate with customers and branch staff regarding the status of repairs, ensuring schedules are maintained and delays are effectively communicated.

Complete service tickets in accordance with company procedures and protocols.

Manage and track truck stock, ensuring necessary parts are available and properly stocked in the service vehicle.

Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to meet Tech24 standards.

Serve as a positive example and mentor for less experienced technicians, promoting the company’s values and culture.

Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety practices and protocols.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

3-5 years of experience in a related field, with strong technical skills in commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment repair.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting service data.

Possession of standard industry hand tools.

Ability to travel extensively within the region for service calls.

Willingness to work some nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.

Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new techniques and approaches.

Universal EPA certification is preferred but not required.
