Commercial Insurance Account Specialist - Alera Group

Avon-Dixon, an Alera Group Company is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Specialist to join their Commercial Property & Casualty team.

The Avon-Dixon Insurance Agency is a full-service insurance agency with a rich history dating back to 1850. Our independent agents have developed strong relationships with multiple insurance carriers allowing our agents to compare coverage and pricing to find clients the best insurance policies at the best rate. 

As a Commercial Insurance Account Specialist, you will work with the Department Manager on various projects, assist with staff training and fill-in on the team where needed to support the growth and success of the department. You will work directly with clients, carriers, producers, and all members of the commercial lines department in both the servicing and quoting of current and new business.  You will also be required to work closely with your manager as well as other members of management to ensure the growth and development of the commercial lines department.

• Work with Manager on various projects, staff training, and filling in for Commercial Lines CSRs during absences.
• Respond to client, producer, carrier, and management requests in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
• Prepare quotes, explain coverage, and make recommendations to ensure clients/prospects understand the coverage.
• Negotiate with carriers to create the best combination of coverage and premium.
• Request endorsements and policy changes from the insurance company as needed.
• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with both current clients and prospects.
• Attend and participate in sales, training, and agency meetings.
• Adhere to and support all agency operational policies/processes to ensure client satisfaction and delivery of quality service to manage and meet unique client needs.

• Property & Casualty Insurance license. 
• A minimum of 5-7 years commercial lines insurance experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial lines products and services, along with the operating policies and procedures that impact these products
• Insurance designations are a plus.
