If you have a knack for numbers, an eye for detail, and a passion for construction, then this is the job opportunity for you! We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a position that will allow you to apply your expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, risk assessment, project management, and strategic planning to a variety of commercial construction projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of dedicated professionals and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality construction services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting cost estimation and budgeting for a variety of commercial construction projects.
2. Applying your negotiation skills to secure the best prices and terms on contracts.
3. Undertaking risk assessments to ensure potential issues are identified and mitigated.
4. Utilizing your project management skills to oversee the project from initial estimation to completion.
5. Participating in design-bid-build processes and pricing.
6. Conducting site selection investigations to determine the feasibility of potential construction sites.
7. Managing contract negotiation and execution, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
8. Applying your knowledge of construction estimating and project bidding to ensure competitive proposals.
9. Implementing cost control measures and providing regular cost reporting.
10. Leading strategic planning efforts for future projects, including procurement and project estimation.
11. Ensuring adherence to pre-construction processes and construction safety standards.
12. Utilizing Microsoft Office for project documentation, communication, and reporting.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, risk assessment, project management, and strategic planning.
3. Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
4. Knowledge and experience with design-bid-build processes, pricing, site selection investigations, and project bidding.
5. Demonstrated ability to implement cost control measures and provide accurate cost reporting.
6. Experience with procurement and project estimation.
7. Familiarity with pre-construction processes and construction safety standards.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and estimating software.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
11. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
