Commercial Electrical Estimator - CATSearch HR Consultancy Inc.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for estimating and analysis with support from the Senior Estimator.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure all needed information is provided.
• Create cost estimates by getting pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review with the Senior Estimator or Vice President of Preconstruction.
• Train and guide Junior Estimators.
• Assist in design-assist project phases.
• Meet deadlines and provide accurate information.
• Occasionally visit job sites.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred (5+ years experience in electrical construction also considered in lieu of a degree)
• Prior experience in estimating or construction engineering/construction management industry is considered a plus.
  Ability to read plans/specs for select disciplines.
  Proficiency in Excel, Word, BluBeam, Accubid, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; estimating and scheduling software a plus.
