About the Job
Position Summary: We are working with a community-sized bank in the Lehigh Valley seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit Analyst to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial lending efforts by contributing to the credit decision process and managing various administrative tasks related to the commercial loan portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Credit Decision Process Support:
- Obtain and analyze complex financial information from prospective borrowers.
- Develop and maintain expertise in credit analysis tools and software.
- Prepare comprehensive credit approval write-ups.
- Obtain and evaluate credit reports, appraisals, and environmental studies.
- Prepare and manage CoStar, loan pricing, and EDR reports.
- Participate in Senior and Director Loan Committee meetings and serve as Secretary as needed.
- Prepare Commercial Loan Documentation using the Bank’s software (Laser Pro).
- Monitor maturities, renewal dates, and annual review dates for commercial lending.
Underwriting and Documentation:
- Maintain expert underwriting skills.
- Stay updated on Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the administration of Laser Pro and other key lending systems.
Loan Portfolio Administration:
- Monitor borrower compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state consumer compliance regulations.
- Prepare and review portfolio management reports.
- Maintain the Watch List for loans classified as "Special Mention" or worse and for "Impaired" loans.
- Serve as a customer service representative for commercial borrowing customers.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain a high standard of knowledge relating to bank compliance regulations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of four years of recent underwriting experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Strong initiative and independence in handling responsibilities.
- Leadership, organizational, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
