About the Job
We are seeking a Superintendent for direct placement to oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of our client's commercial construction projects, with a focus on healthcare facilities in Yuma, AZ. The Superintendent will ensure compliance with company safety rules and regulations throughout all project activities.
Essential Functions:
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
- Physical presence and active engagement on assigned projects
- Expertise in interpreting commercial and residential plans and specifications
- Proficient problem-solving abilities
- Prioritization and delegation of tasks as necessary
- Maintenance of positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, and co-workers
- Leadership in project analysis and planning
- Implementation of Superintendent software in daily workflows
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Enforcement of safety standards at construction sites
- Participation in pre-construction phases as required
- Monitoring and maintenance of weekly project schedules
- Review and integration of project submittals during construction
- Management of existing client relationships
- Maintenance of as-built drawings and documentation
- Coordination with subcontractors, designers, and AHJ
- Oversight of project closeout requirements
Work Environment:
- Predominantly on construction sites, both indoor and outdoor
- Some office work before and after projects
- Collaboration with subcontractors and craft workers
- Designated workspace for administrative tasks
- Occasional work in active healthcare environments
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel:
- Extended stays near project locations may be required
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of General Contractor Healthcare Superintendent experience
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of project timeframes, costs, and change order preparation
- Understanding of contracts and their implementation in projects
Preferred Education and Experience:
- LEED (or equivalent) accreditation preferred
Salary: In the low to mid $100K range
