COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Superintendent collaborates with subcontractors and oversees the entire scope of the construction project. The ideal candidate should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Prospect will define project needs and oversee the performance of both subcontractors and general laborers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation of construction projects
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are followed
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
• Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
• Keep projects within budget
• Keep projects on target time for completion
• Prepare area for subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
• Plan construction processes, inspections, and obtain proper permits
• Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
• Monitor and report on project progress
• Order proper equipment to complete projects
• Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• 5+ years of General Construction experience required
• Working knowledge of Procore, Office Suite, Bluebeam
• Communication, supervisory and organizational skills are necessary
