Lead Commercial Construction Superintendent
The Lead Commercial Construction Superintendent oversees all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to Barranco’s high standards of safety and quality. This role involves managing workers, subcontractors, and materials while maintaining compliance with company policies, project specifications, and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise workers' daily tasks, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Coordinate subcontractor schedules and oversee the delivery and placement of materials and equipment for each project phase.
Prepare and manage work schedules, assigning tasks to tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
Track project schedules and budgets, communicating variances and progress reports as needed.
Monitor productivity, inspect work quality, and ensure compliance with architectural and engineering plans.
Troubleshoot issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, or project changes and expedite solutions to maintain project timelines.
Enforce safety protocols and site rules in accordance with Barranco standards.
Complete and maintain daily time, labor, and progress reports in company software systems.
Conduct and direct inspections to ensure workmanship, materials, and overall compliance meet specifications.
Collaborate with the Director of Field Operations and Project Manager to align project execution with company goals.
Contribute to the development and improvement of construction processes and procedures.
Address any safety violations or other deficiencies promptly.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in construction supervision or related trades.
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Business Administration preferred.
Proficiency with construction software; Procore experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Knowledge of construction materials, OSHA 10/30 certification, and quality building practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screens.
Road Warrior availability (80% travel).
Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate all areas of construction sites in various weather conditions.
