Position Summary: We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with strong estimating experience to lead and manage multiple commercial projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction budgeting to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Oversee pre-construction activities, including cost estimation, proposal preparation, and bid packages.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Conduct project cost analysis and ensure adherence to budgets and contracts.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, schedules, and progress reports.
- Perform risk management and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Lead on-site teams and conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and timeline adherence.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and cost control.
Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management and estimating.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to managing teams.
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in healthcare, retail, and restaurant ground-up builds and renovations.
- Familiarity with design-build and value engineering processes.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred).
