Commercial Construction Manager opportunity to join our local construction/architecture services client that is committed to delivering innovative design solutions. With a focus on creativity, functionality, and environmental consciousness, they strive to exceed client expectations and contribute positively to the built environment.
The Construction Manager will oversee the daily operations and progress of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The role includes comprehensive responsibility for managing site activities, supervising construction staff, and coordinating directly with field carpenters to ensure effective scheduling, productivity, and adherence to project timelines. The Construction Manager will work closely with site project stakeholders, subcontractors, and other team members to drive efficient site operations, mitigage delays, and address issues in real time.
Project Management & Oversight
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations, including managing material and equipment logistics.
- Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, carpenters, and other on-site personnel.
Scheduling & Resource Allocation
- Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules for field carpenters, ensuring optimal deployment across projects.
- Coordinate with project management to align carpenter availability with project needs, addressing changes in project scope or timelines.
- Track carpenter work hours, productivity, and site resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Conduct routine site inspections and ensure all work aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Identify, document, and resolve any discrepancies or deficiencies in construction.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to keep project details current.
- Provide timely and effective communication with team members regarding scheduling, materials, and project updates.
Budget & Documentation
- Assist with tracking on-site expenditures and resource usage, working within project budgets.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, material receipts, and documentation of any changes to project scope.
