The Construction Manager will oversee the daily operations and progress of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role includes comprehensive responsibility for managing site activities, supervising construction staff, and coordinating directly with field carpenters to ensure effective scheduling, productivity, and adherence to project timelines. The Construction Manager will work closely with site project stakeholders, subcontractors, and other team members to drive efficient site operations, mitigate delays, and address issues in real-time.

- Project Management and Oversight:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations, including managing material and equipment logistics.
- Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, carpenters, and other on-site personnel.
- Scheduling and Resource Allocation
- Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules for field carpenters, ensuring optimal deployment across projects.
- Coordinate with project management to align carpenter availability with project needs, addressing changes in project scope or timelines.
- Track carpenter work hours, productivity, and site resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
- Quality Control and Compliance
- Conduct routine site inspections and ensure all work aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Identify, document, and resolve any discrepancies or deficiencies in construction.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to keep project details current.
- Provide timely and effective communication with team members regarding scheduling, materials, and project updates.
- Budget and Documentation
- Assist with tracking on-site expenditures and resource usage, working within project budgets.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, material receipts, and documentation of any changes to project scope.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Proven experience in construction management, with a background in field scheduling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, carpentry, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- The work environment may expose the employee to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
