Your new role:
Spees Design Build is looking for anAssistant Project Manager to assist with design-focused project management services. TheAssistant Project Manager will directly support a Project Manager and will learn the ins and outs of running a successful design project. Daily tasks include coordinating with internal/external design teams and working with clients to solve mission-critical problems. You will develop interpersonal skills by interacting with various stakeholders and ultimately learning how to run successful weekly meetings and design review meetings with clients.
You will be exposed to a wide range of engineering disciplines including architecture and engineering blast consultants. You will develop your skills to review submittal design, ensuring compliance with design requirements, and catching design conflicts based on your understanding of existing site conditions and other discipline work activities.
You will learn all of the components that make up a successful project Lifecycle – beginning with bid solicitation and procurement, culminating in successful completion of construction and handover to owner/client. You will also have the opportunity to visit unique places across the United States. You will be exposed to design project site conditions and the ability to supervise site work activities. You will learn how to use state-of-the-art LiDAR scanning equipment and other site tools for documenting existing conditions.

What you will need to succeed:
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- A strong drive and work ethic
- Understanding of construction/design management through former work or academic experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel as required for project-related activities.
- Familiarity with Department of Veterans Affairs projects and military service is a plus.
The salary range is $50-70k DOE.
