THE ROLE
In this crucial role to support our rapid growth, you will collaborate closely with our visionary leadership team to refine and expand the talent acquisition strategies across our extensive portfolio of owned and invested companies. Reporting directly to the Operating Partner and working in close concert with our founder, you will oversee the recruitment spectrum that includes entry-level positions all the way up to executive roles, including CEO. You are tasked with partnering with senior leadership to strategically define and implement the human capital strategy, shaping the organizational structure for both the investment fund and its operational businesses.
You will oversee, lead and optimize a multi business talent function as an operational function and process. This is not a HR role but an operation leadership role including timelines, project plans, data and analytics, software, and strategy. You will be involved in creating business and talent strategy and identifying and locating ideal people across a wide variety of environments to serve in a wide variety of roles. In this mission you will assist the CEO and COO in organizing the strategic planning sessions and execute operations according to a tightly mapped talent process including significant use of AI for screening, optimization and reporting. Managing a team of live and virtual recruiters, you will ensure activities follow processes, are optimized for results and ensure end outputs match strategic and financial objectives of the business. To accomplish this mission you will operate hands on but manage and lead a team, to drive talent acquisition objectives and reporting. You will depend on your business acumen, experience, intelligence, ability to learn quickly and high levels of drive and motivation to operate across diverse sectors such as consumer packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, technology, healthcare, construction, and professional services.As a pivotal member of the global senior leadership team, your innovative and forward-thinking approach will put you at the forefront of adapting talent strategies to meet complex and evolving business needs. This position requires strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment, particularly in working with hard-driving founders to drive critical business outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the CEO, Operating Partners,, and senior leadership teams to envision a stronger, more impactful and more profitable business.
Co-lead frameworks and provide recommendations and guidance on business, financial and people strategy that supports an aggressive multi-business growth agenda.
Utilizing a tight existing framework, Map annual talent strategy on a business by business basis and lead execution of talent acquisition on time and on budget
Maintain and expand a talent team to keep up with hire needs including data, talent acquisition and optimizing intelligence agents we utilize in process.
Maintain rigorous precision in the talent function, leading by data, and employing tools like Gantt charts, budgets, score cards and detailed timelines to ensure structured and organized work streams.
Manage and own the time-to-hire plan for each role, ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner.
Manage the talent acquisition in a virtual environment, including organizing watchlist recordings, gathering feedback and generally driving the candidate review and decision making process with leadership, ensuring a streamlined and efficient hiring workflow.
Build, manage, and mentor industry-specific talent acquisition professionals to cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, focusing on time-quality results in recruitment.
Work with the senior team to align business and human capital strategies.
Define world-class visions for all roles within portfolio companies.
Recruit leadership for business units including CEO, MD, COO, and collaborate with leaders to expand their teams.
Consult on workforce planning and organizational design with leadership to support the explosive business growth.
Lead independent discussions with hiring managers
Provide best practices and process improvements throughout the talent acquisition cycle.
Employ a tech-driven mindset to implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance organizational capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.
Develop and monitor processes for tracking KPIs, implementing strategies for individual and team success to consistently achieve goals.
Manage the creation of job descriptions, competencies, goals, and KPIs for each role.
Strategize outbound sourcing using LinkedIn and other tools.
Oversee the candidate experience from sourcing to success within their role.
Lead the development of recruiting reports to identify areas for improvement.
Introduce new hiring tools and resources.
Build and manage the recruiting team, hiring, mentoring, and overseeing junior and mid-level recruiters.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Track record of success in operational leadership roles (coo, vp ops, director ops) managing both large and small teams, in high performance, pressure, and profit environments
Previous experience partnering with founders, CEOs, and business visionaries to develop ideas and transform them into profitable enterprises, alongside direct entrepreneurial or P&L responsibility for the overall financial success of a business, division, or subsidiary.
Extensive experience in steric planning both participating and leading.
5+ year experience working for a visionary entrepreneur driven company and understanding how to lead within it, demonstrated success with minimum 2 years of founder interactions - driving human capital strategy and aligning it with business strategy and needs
A list of senior references that you have reported to that describe you as this job description.
8+ years of leadership experience, specifically defining human capital strategy and organizational charts, filling those roles in funds and a variety of businesses / teams across industries simultaneously
Deep commitment to your work, and passion for operating in highly decisive, aggressive objective oriented and time driven environment.
Proven success in leading the hiring process for Private Equity / Multibusiness / Family offices with an expertise in highly regulated product categories - e.g. medical devices/dietary supplements/cannabis/alcohol
Track record of working across functional business areas (marketing, sales, ops, finance) and hiring executive level roles
Articulate, inspirational, and persuasive businesses communication skills
Startup or fast growing company experience, proven experience of growing companies from early stage to mid-stage or beyond
Strong ability to amplify deep business knowledge across a wide range of topics and domain areas, i.e. tax, M&A, global business, balance score cards, functional competency.
Health and wellness and/or tech talent acquisition experience
Strong experience with using linkedin recruiter to generate and hire candidates in diverse rolls
Experience leading, hiring, and developing a high-performing talent acquisition team
Have experience implementing recruiting tools and processes
Experience and savviness in Identifying and deploying AI-driven tools and platforms for efficient talent acquisition and management.
Data oriented, ability to leverage recruiting decisions from recruiting data analytics
Tech savvy (G-Suite, ATS, Microsoft Office, Recruiting Platforms and Job Boards)
Ability to communicate and understand the needs of hiring managers and be able to translate that into job descriptions and job searches
Creative and strategic sourcing experience
MBA highly preferred
