Overview of the Commercial Collections Specialist:

• Collect overdue payments through calls, emails, and other communication, while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Resolve account discrepancies by reviewing sales, customer service, and customer data; manage payment plans, history, and credit lines.
• Maintain and update customer accounts, ensuring accurate collection notes and providing statements and invoices as needed.
• Summarize receivables, prepare for monthly AR meetings, and generate aging reports to track payment status and support collections efforts.
• Process customer credit memos and coordinate any necessary adjustments.

Preferred Qualifications for the Commercial Collections Specialist:

• 2+ years of related collections experience in a high-volume business to business collections setting
• Experience in high volume collections with demonstrated ability to drive down aging of accounts
• MS Excel – Intermediate
• Strong attention to detail and organized
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication and follow-through
