Commercial Associate Renewal Underwriter - 15935
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Analyzes account-specific information (including but not limited to loss information, financials, loss control reports) and prepares UWC Documentation Tool for referral to the Commercial Renewal Underwriter (CR UW).
+ Lines of Business include Package (Property, Liability, Equipment Breakdown), Auto, Workers Compensation, Umbrella.
* Will be independently handling: $5m to $7m in written premium and 1200 policies; managing agents for CIL business with multiple branches.
* Develops information and recommendations, based on the account analysis that will be used as the basis for the renewal strategy.
* Determines pricing strategy in conjunction with LMM UC Commercial Insurance objectives and strategies.
* Coordinates the renewal process independently.
* Reviews submission information and helps coordinates the quotation process with the CR UW and PSR. Responds to agents directly.
* Coordinates new business with the local branch or CR UW.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Competencies:
Candidate must have proven ability to successfully negotiate and develop producer relationships.
A strong track record of service orientation is required.
Knowledge of marketing principles, underwriting and pricing strategies
Solid background in risk analysis
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently and cohesively in a team environment in conjunction with service staff, loss control, field marketing underwriters and branch employees.
Knowledge of emerging hazards, trends and concepts preferred.
Ability to coach and develop others via peer-to-peer development.
Strong multi-line underwriting background.
Deep analytical skills supported by interpersonal effectiveness in understanding the needs of the customer and matching those needs to Chubb solutions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Two to five years of Technology and / or multi-line underwriting experience is preferred.
