Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Command and Control (C2) Modeling and Simulation Test Engineer for the TMAS2 CTG Contract, supporting the 96CTG, 45 Test Squadron, Air Operations C2 Systems Test Flight, at Eglin AFB, FL. You will be responsible for developmental test scheduling, budgeting and resource coordination for modeling and simulation tools. You will also coordinate and conduct developmental testing of the most advanced live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training tools and capabilities. Additionally, you will work directly with the developmental test engineers as well as System Program Offices in efforts to help design/develop a consistent, reliable, and efficient test environment for advanced live mission operations training capabilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Master’s Degree in a technical field and 10 years of relevant experience. Additional exerience may be substituted for education.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance . S. Citizenship required.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Modeling and Simulation technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when challenges are developing in the program.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently, independently and with a team.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects successfully and priortize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others.
- Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills with experience presenting to senior management utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to create collaborative relationships internally and with external customer(s).
- Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications.
- Effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Recent rated expertise with constructive or virtual modeling and simulation experience
- Familiarity with radio and datalink architecture as it relates to live-virtual-constructive training
- Development Test and Evaluation, specifically - acquisition program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including AFI 99-103.
- Familiar with agile methods and CI/CD, DevSecOps and DevOps principals
- Familiarity with Agile OA accelerated test cycle, including user stories development, continuous test team involvement in scrum meetings, development sprints, testing / fielding decisions of minimum viable products / minimum fieldable products
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing program management on Command and Control (C2) Modeling and Simulation systems. This includes but is not limited to: plan, schedule, coordinate, and perform technical and management aspects of multiple programs
- Supporting and developing various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management
- Developing and effectively managing program timelines to ensure completion of deliverables
- Attending and participating in assigned programmatic meetings, assist in resolving program issues as needed
- Maintaining a positive rapport with, and a good working knowledge of each M&S program
- Analyzing, managing, and producing program test documentation (e.g.; briefings, plans, reports)
- Maintaining regular contact with program offices and test team members to ensure delivery of requirements
- Coordinating and participating in modeling and simulation training/test events
- Participating in strategic planning activities relevant to program delivery
- Supporting and coordinate with program level scheduling personnel
- Supporting Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test (OT), Force Development Evaluation (FDE), Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness
- Preparing, executing, reviewing, and analyzing test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing
