Job Description
Position Overview: Collision Production Supervisor
As the Collision Production Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of the detail, paint, and body departments within our collision center. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting technicians, streamlining workflows, and ensuring high-quality, timely repairs that reduce cycle times and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and foster a safe working environment.
- Lead the quality control process, implementing systems to prevent quality issues and ensuring ongoing performance appraisals.
- Develop and communicate repair standards, procedures, and cost benchmarks across the detail, paint, and body departments.
- Oversee daily and weekly work schedules, coordinating vehicle movement and assigning tasks to technicians based on skill level and productivity goals.
- Communicate daily goals and due dates to technicians, serving as the liaison between the office and production floor.
- Inspect disassembled vehicles to support accurate estimate preparation.
- Assist technicians with technical procedures and parts-related concerns as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive repair or collision facility, with at least 5 years in a technical supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of dealership computer systems (CCC One preferred).
- Expertise in shop management, dispatching, and time control.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Valid in-state driver’s license required; ASE certification preferred.
