Job Description

Position Overview: Collision Production Supervisor

As the Collision Production Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of the detail, paint, and body departments within our collision center. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting technicians, streamlining workflows, and ensuring high-quality, timely repairs that reduce cycle times and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and foster a safe working environment.
• Lead the quality control process, implementing systems to prevent quality issues and ensuring ongoing performance appraisals.
• Develop and communicate repair standards, procedures, and cost benchmarks across the detail, paint, and body departments.
• Oversee daily and weekly work schedules, coordinating vehicle movement and assigning tasks to technicians based on skill level and productivity goals.
• Communicate daily goals and due dates to technicians, serving as the liaison between the office and production floor.
• Inspect disassembled vehicles to support accurate estimate preparation.
• Assist technicians with technical procedures and parts-related concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive repair or collision facility, with at least 5 years in a technical supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of dealership computer systems (CCC One preferred).
• Expertise in shop management, dispatching, and time control.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Valid in-state driver’s license required; ASE certification preferred.
