The Collector is responsible for daily collection activities to ensure timely payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting branch personnel in managing outstanding accounts. This role requires effective use of various software systems, strong communication skills, and customer service techniques to facilitate the collection of outstanding balances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to resolve delinquent payments.
+ Provide customers with account-related documents, including copies of invoices and account summaries.
+ Confirm payment commitments with customers and document payment arrangements.
+ Update and maintain customer information, including addresses, phone numbers, and account discrepancies.
+ Collaborate with branch personnel to address and resolve billing or service issues promptly.
+ Maintain accurate records of all customer communications, payment arrangements, and follow-ups.
+ Assess credit limits on overdue accounts and escalate issues to the Credit Manager as needed.
+ Prepare recommendations for account adjustments, write-offs, or other actions required to address overdue balances.
+ Assist in process improvement initiatives related to collections and customer service.
