WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our company is currently in search of a motivated and detailed individual to join our Credit & Collections Team. Responsible for direct contact with the debtor via the telephone and through written correspondence. The Collector will also be responsible for maintaining consistent contact with the customer for the purpose of status reporting as to the progress of the collection.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Identify changes in payment and communication trends which may indicate increased risk and communicate this to credit management.
- Identify root cause for delinquency and implement plan to eliminate.
- Responsible for proactively ensuring that invoices have been sent successfully and that the customer has scheduled timely payment.
- Thoroughly note all collection activity and follow up on item until final resolution is complete.
- Initiate collections of past due items via telephone and email in order to reduce past due balances.
- Work with Sales department and other company contacts to resolve invoice issues which prohibit or may prohibit prompt payment from a customer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ability to interact with customers and company personnel in a manner that promotes customer retention and creates a positive work culture reflective of Phoenix's commitments.
- Time management: the ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems. Must possess the ability to foresee, react, and offer solutions; probe for hidden information; analyze and look beyond single solution answers.
- Ability to effectively communicate both in an oral and written manner.
- A thorough understanding of computer software and programs and the effective use of these computer skills. Experience with and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel are required.
