About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Collections Representative to manage and resolve overdue accounts. The ideal candidate will prioritize building rapport with clients, understanding their financial situations, and collaboratively developing effective payment solutions. This is a full-time, temp-hire opportunity once a reliable attendance record has been established as well as a positive work ethic. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with overtime if desired. $14-15/hr depending on experience, with monthly commissions available.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and proactively contact clients regarding overdue payments.
- Engage with clients through calls and emails to negotiate payment plans, ensuring solutions are tailored to individual circumstances.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment arrangements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to update account statuses and address any discrepancies.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices in debt collection.
Skills:

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in collections or a related customer service role is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a patient, resilient demeanor.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with database management.
- High school diploma required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
