Collections (Business-to-Business) Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ (southeast valley)

(Temporary project with the possibility of going perm)

Overview:

The Collections Specialist is responsible for collecting past-due balances on Commercial (B2B) customer accounts. The Collector will be assigned a group of customers to monitor and will be responsible for finding creative means to effectively resolve problem accounts.

Primary Duties:

• Contacting Commercial customers to secure payment on open items.
• Escalate collection contact within the customer organization until payment or resolution is achieved
• Negotiate settlement of disputed account balances.
• Review customer cash flow situation and formulates repayment plans.
• Utilization of various accounts receivable aging reports to determine past due accounts.
• Compiling and sending dunning letters and statements to the customer via email or postal service.
• Coordinate credit activity with sales, customer service, pricing and operations departments.
• Recommends credit deadlines, after conferring with Sales, to customers who do not resolve past due balances.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent B2B Collections experience
• Strong Excel skills required - Pivot tables and V LOOKUP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
