Collections Accounts Receivable Specialist

Large development and manufacturing company in Camarillo is looking for an Accounts Collections Accounts Receivable Specialist. In this role, you will manage and streamline our accounts receivable processes and maintain positive, proactive communication with customers to ensure timely collections.

Schedule : Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
This is a temp-to-hire position
Salary: $23.00 - $28.00/hour (DOE)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate proactive communications with customers to ensure timely payments
• Review and analyze A/R reports to improve collection times
• Prepare weekly A/R collections reports, including setting and tracking targets
• Assist customers with invoices, statements, and account reconciliations
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding incoming payments, credits, and returns
• Conduct monthly aged credit cleanup with customers
• Resolve billing and credit issues efficiently
• Respond to account queries, address disputes, and escalate when necessary
• Monitor outstanding balances and manage credit limits
• Send monthly statements and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years in B2B collections
• 5+ years in accounts receivable
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat or similar accounting software
• Experience in the Manufacturing/Production industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or 4 years of equivalent experience) is preferred
