About the Job
Performs various tasks related to Collateral Files/Documents, Servicing Files/Documents and images in connection with the mortgage loan servicing process. Processes individual documents within a Collateral package received by mail room into digitized inventory for tracking purposes. Serve as Document Custody Support for other internal and external business units to resolve and correct any collateral exceptions for documents required in a mortgage collateral file. Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state, federal, GSE and MERS regulations.
What you will do:
- Process incoming mail within the Collateral Management Department by notating tracking information document characteristics and entering them into an inventory database.
- Image, rename, and upload all documents received by the Collateral Management Department into the imaging database.
- Recognize and distinguish between Collateral Documents (Mortgage/Deed, AOM, Satisfaction, etc)
- Identify and sort POA’s received from clients.
- Maintain inventory of file room including servicing files and other legal documents.
- Analyze inventory and other reports to complete audits, collateral exceptions, or other tasks.
- Request original files and send paid in full Notes to borrowers Coordinate and handle any other imaging requests.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a temporary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Extended ours may be needed on occasion.
Required Education and Experience
- Familiarity with mortgage loan documentation preferred
- Microsoft Office knowledge required
- Proficient in use of desktop computer
- Professional office experience
- Banking, mortgage servicing, or related industry experience preferred
