Oceana Coastal Kitchen is the signature restaurant at the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa and is ranked as one of the top three restaurants on TripAdvisor. SUMMARY
The Cocktail Server ("Servidor de Cócteles”) provides a courteous, timely and professional service in the restaurant, shows complete knowledge of all menus and pricing, as well as a proactive, customer oriented attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Serves and actively promotes food and beverage offerings.
- Take and accurately input food and beverage orders from guests.
- Presents menus in a courteous and professional manner, offering guidance and answering inquiries about food and service.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits and strong wine expertise.
- Follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times.
- Process payments, including cash, credit card, and room charges.
- Maintainscleanliness and organization of server/bar stations as delegated.
- Prepares garnishes and sauces as required.
- Cleans and polishes dining wares.
- Ensures work and dining areas are clean and appropriately set.
- Completes opening, closing, and any assigned side work and tasks.
- Performsadditional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.
- RBS certification required.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
