Requirements
- MUST have recent and extensive Assembler Programming expertise, ensuring CICS environment is highly available
- Analysis and remediation of existing COBOL and Assembler programs to ensure they perform effectively in the new multiple CICS region cross-LPAR environment
- Provides senior level development and guidance in creating and maintaining application software code using the IBM Mainframe Assembly language for System Z
- Ability to analyze programs to determine changes required to support Above the Line memory utilization, Thread safe processing, and CICS Affinities in a multi-region cross-LPAR environment
- Identifies, analyzes, designs, develops and maintains cost-effective information technology solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies
- Identifies and resolves conflicts between proposed solutions and existing systems to ensure compatibility
- Recent development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language (10 years minimum) for System Z
- Recent experience with command-level IBM Customer Information Control System (CICS ) (10 years minimum) application programming and CICS APIs
- Recent experience with COBOL (5 years minimum)
- Advanced experience/knowledge in IBM Mainframe systems, workflow and procedural analysis
- Working knowledge of CICS inter-transaction affinities related to data passage and synchronization.
Desired, not required
- Familiarity with CICS in a CICSPLEX or parallel SYSPLEX
- Understanding of the IBM Mainframe Assembler Concept 14 macros set add-on product
- Experience developing Thread safe programs and identifying issues that would make programs non-Thread safe
- Working knowledge of the Serena ChangeMan ZMF source packaging/management tool
- Working knowledge of credit union operations/processes and procedures
- Experience with IBM DataPower, MQ application programming and IBM WebSphere
