University Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamicface-to-face secondary teachersand tutors with a passion for supporting students in grades 9-12. In this role, under the direction of the University Instructors’ team, and the school district, you willpartner with long-term subs and teachers to support grades 9 -12 Algebra instruction.

Responsibilities:Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
- Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices.
- Prepare lessons and provide whole group and differentiated small group instruction.
- Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
- Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
- Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
- Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on time.
- Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
- Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree
- Be local to the area
- Two years of experience providing instruction in Secondary Math.
Compensation:
$28-$35/hour
