Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CNC Supervisor to join their team in Mentor, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in ensuring optimal machine performance, team efficiency, and production quality. Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, the CNC Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC department, providing leadership and driving improvements in key performance areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Manage, train, and mentor CNC operators and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize machine utilization and improve the machine-to-man ratio to enhance productivity.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure timely completion of production schedules.
Quality Assurance:
- Analyze production data to identify and address quality issues, reducing scrap and rework.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards.
Process Improvement:
- Implement and oversee process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing and other departments to streamline workflows and improve equipment performance.
Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all team members adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to CNC machining.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a CNC machining environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to drive machine utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience in reducing scrap and improving production quality.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
