CNC Programmer
Job Summary:
The CNC Router Programmer is responsible for generating programs/toolpath codes for CAD-generated parts. This includes programming, setup, quality control, and occasional operation of CNC routers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 5-axis CNC programming and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings using 3D design software.
- Verify that CAD drawings/parts are suitable for programming.
- Produce toolpath/CAM programs for CNC routing machines.
- Set up and adjust CNC routers for cutting various materials.
- Conduct simulations for quality control and ensure high accuracy in cuts.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces while adhering to WCY quality standards.
- Communicate with management and CNC operators to ensure quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Rhino 3D and/or MasterCam preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in CNC programming.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of G-code programming.
- Knowledge of speed and feed selection for various materials.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
- Experience with Osai and Fanuc controllers is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to multitask and switch between projects efficiently.
- Team-oriented mindset with high energy and enthusiasm for building the best sportfish yachts in the industry.
- Documentation Skills: Able to write technical reports and field notes.
