JOB SUMMARY:\
Responsible for producing machined parts operating a CNC machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment and supplies. \
\
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\
Work closely with experienced operators to perform machine setups, adjustments and inspection of product produced.\
Studies drawings, schematics, engineering information, or sample parts to determine product dimensions and tolerances as well as best method and sequence of operations needed to fabricate parts.\
Help with selection of appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used for machining work.\
Work closely with production team to ensure schedule and deliverable deadlines are achieved.\
Setup and operate conventional lathe and mill.\
Setup and operate CNC 3&4 axis lathes with live tools.\
Ability to change speeds and feeds per tooling and material requirements,\
Work with QC, engineering, production on daily basis.\
Will provide G codes as necessary for programming of numeric controlled machines using FANUC or similar controls to produce parts.\

QUALIFICATIONS: \
Skill\
Ability to interpret drawings, standard precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, check threads.\
Basic understanding of metals and alloys.\
Carry out all common arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, including calculate area, geometry.\
Possess analytical and communication skills.\
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and troubleshoot issue.\
Must be able to be effective in a fast paced environment.\
Education\
High School diploma or GED\
Work Experience\
4-5 years of experience in a metal fabricating environment with knowledge of machining.\
Physical Requirements\
Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.\
Continuous standing and/or walking.\
Moderate physical effort- working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.\
Good eye/hand/foot coordination.\
Good visual acuity- cannot be colorblind.\
Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.\
Must be able to become forklift certified.\
Must be able to lift fifty pounds independently
