CNC Programmer-Prove-out Technician Job Overview:
The CNC Programmer-Prove-out Technician will be responsible for the creation and prove-out of programs that will generate a part that is compliant to blueprint specifications and that will meet the routed times.
You’ll be a great fit if:
- You are able to create a formal or informal plan for the programming activity
- You can work with the assigned project engineer on design and choice of tooling and fixturing; tooling and fixturing chosen must meet performance, cost, and delivery requirements
- You can create the program(s) that meets the requirements of the project (cycle time, needed quality, ease of use)
- You can create the DPP per ISO/AS requirements
- You can alert the Tool Crib in a reasonable time frame of special tooling requirements before the job is scheduled to start
- You can perform first-run set-ups while minimizing spindle down-time
- You are able to successfully prove-out the program(s) and make any adjustments needed to meet requirements
- You can complete the DPP for future machinists to use
- You are able to train the initial machinist on how to successfully execute the program with all necessary steps including preparation, set-up (as appropriate), machining, deburring, and inspecting at the machine
- You can help reduce costs for selected jobs where opportunities exist
- You can perform other duties as needed

Requirements
To be considered you’ll need:
- An Associate's Degree or an education generally equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong manufacturing skills & CADCAM skills
- Strong blueprint reading skills (including GD&T)
- Strong communication skills
- A willingness to grow and learn
