We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. This full-time permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that is at the forefront of technological innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to create precision components while ensuring all parts meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs for various types of machines including 4 axis mills, Y-Axis turning centers, and CNC lathes using G & M Code.
2. Interpret complex blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to produce parts that meet design specifications.
3. Utilize CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks and SolidCam to design parts and create efficient machining processes.
4. Perform setup and operation of CNC machines, ensuring all parts are machined to exact specifications.
5. Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality control.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and programs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new production techniques and improve existing processes.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist in the engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in G & M Code, 4 axis, CNC Programming, Y-Axis Turning, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathes.
3. Advanced knowledge of CAD/CAM software, particularly Solidworks and SolidCam.
4. Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
5. Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints and engineering plans.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
10. A relevant certification or diploma in CNC programming, machining, or a related field is preferred.
