Shift and Schedule:
The CNC Machinist/Programmer is responsible for proficiently programming, setting up, and proving out programs on multi-axis Haas Mills and Haas Lathes, supporting daily production and prototyping needs. This role requires the ability to edit programs at the machine and through CAM software, with training provided for CAMWorks or similar software. The ideal candidate will thrive in both fast-paced prototype environments and long series production, contributing as a senior team member and mentor.

Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and machine various components using CNC machinery.
- Identify and address machine malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure machines operate safely and efficiently.
- Precisely measure parts using appropriate tools to meet dimensional requirements.
- Adhere to rigorous quality standards and documented procedures.
- Utilize a pallet jack and/or personal strength to lift workpieces.
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on machines as needed.
- Collaborate with coworkers to meet daily tasks and deadlines.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors and coworkers for quality and on-time delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher education.
- Minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining, setup, and programming experience.
- Efficient operation of CNC machinery with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to take direction and work independently.
- Desire to learn additional skills within the organization.
- Prior experience machining in a production environment preferred.
- Knowledge of manual machining (non-CNC) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret product prints, operating manuals, safety manuals, and quality manuals.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Working knowledge of systems such as SolidWorks 3D CAD, SolidWorks CAM/CAMWorks, ERP system (e.g., ProShop), editing G and M Codes, GD&T, and experience in an ISO9000/AS9100 certified shop are pluses.
