CNC Programmer/Machinist - Canduct Boardman

This role is a hybrid role that involves working closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure precise and efficient machining of parts while maintaining the highest quality standards. 30-40% of the role will relate to CNC programing and 60-70% of the role will be spent in CNC operation or drafting design work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam for lathes, mills, and CNC routers.

• Set up and optimize CNC machinery, ensuring programs run efficiently and produce high-quality parts.

• Collaborate with engineering/ drafting team members to interpret technical drawings and specifications - engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create accurate machining instructions.

• Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve CNC programming issues. Collaborate with machinists and production staff to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.

• Make program adjustments as necessary to ensure part tolerances and specifications are met.

• Organize and manage CNC programming files to streamline operations.

• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and maintain quality standards.

• Set-up, Run & operate CNC machinery (routers, lathes, mills, manual machining) based on experience

Nice to have qualifications:

• Experience working with a 3 axis CNC router.

• Experience with a Dual Spindle Lathe

• Ability to create, interpretate, and edit G-code.

• Experience operating CNC routers, mills, and lathes in metal-mechanic and woodworking industries is desired.

• Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with multi-axis machining and complex part setups.

• Knowledge of different materials such as metals, plastics, and composites.

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.

Qualifications:

· One to two years’ experience operating and setting up CNC Router or CNC Lathe

· Detail oriented, both in paperwork and computer-generated drawings.

· AutoCad experience preferred not necessary using AutoCAD
