Our Client, a highly innovative Medical Device contract manufacturer has an opening for a CNC Programmer in the Marquette, MI area. Day-to-Day Duties May Include:
- Using safety awareness tools to eliminate unsafe acts and correct unsafe conditions.
- Performing CNC programming and troubleshooting, and manufacturing standard production and prototypes utilizing solid modeling and CAM software.
- Documenting process sheet instructions, prints, tool lists, and inspection procedures to verify sequence and conformance to requirements.
- Resolving machining problems and capturing opportunities to achieve the current production schedule.
- Collaborating with Development Engineering to optimize new product design concepts for manufacturability.
- Assisting in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilizing precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during, and after machining.
- Performing preventative maintenance checks before, during, and after operations on machine centers.
- Inspecting small tools and tooling kits to ensure correct tooling, sequence of use and tool offsets.
- Supporting the implementation of SPC to ensure machines and processes are operating predictably.
- Interpreting GD&T design specifications to optimize machine fixturing and programming.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in CNC or equivalent technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience.
- Thorough understanding of production and product development regulations.
- Proficient in CAM software (MasterCAM, CAMworks, Partmaker).
- Efficient in Quality Control processes, including gaging and OGP operation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Power Point).
