About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team in designing and manufacturing high-precision aerospace components. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining CNC programs to ensure efficient production with tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming: Create and optimize CNC programs for aerospace components, focusing on production efficiency and quality.
- Machining Operations: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery, adjusting programs and machine settings as needed.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings for precise component specifications.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine programming processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks, identify, and correct programming issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of program revisions, tooling, and machining processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in CNC programming, with aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, CATIA, NX) and G-code/M-code programming.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with GD&T and AS9100 standards.
- Preferred: CNC Programming certification, advanced CNC software skills, and prior high-precision aerospace manufacturing experience.
