Shift: 4:30 pm to 3 am
Schedule: Monday to Thursday OT
Payrate: $22- $26
Job Description:
CNC Press Brake Operator who will be responsible for the daily setup and operation of a CNC-controlled Trumpf Press Brake. The Press Brake Operator may be required to assist other operators or perform work using other machines and must be familiar with:
- Trubend 5085 (B23 controller)
- Trubend 5320 (B23 controller)
- Trubend 5230 (B09 controller)
- Trubend Cell 5130 (B23 controller with bandmaster 60 robot)
Skills & Requirements:
- Set up and operate CNC Press Brake
- Measure materials and equipment using tape measures, calipers and protractors as needed
- Set up tooling stations per the provided set-up plan
- Make angle corrections to ensure final product is correct
- Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, hardhat, dust masks etc.
- Move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
- Assemble items as instructed by department supervisor
- Keep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
- Follow all company rules and policies
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Work with your department team to maximize productivity and efficiency
- May have to prepare product for shipment
- Lift materials, final products and items packed for shipment manually (up to 60 pounds)
- Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must have Press Brake Experience, preferably on a CNC controlled press brake, Trumpf equipment experience preferred
- Able to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of angles and how to make angle corrections
- Must be able to listen, read, write and communicate effectively
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds
- Ability to identify and measure material
- Ability to produce quality products consistently
- Ability to follow instruction given both verbally and in written form
- Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Familiarity with metric system
- Willing to work 40 per week and must be flexible to work overtime to meet production schedules and departmental needs.
- Required to pass drug screening
Work Environment
- Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with no climate control. The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime. The noise level may be high at times. Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. This job may require bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, kneeling, climbing, jumping, and walking among other activity. Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to a problem. Active listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand
- the points being make, asking questions when appropriate, and not interrupting others. Coordination – adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.
