You will operate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce aluminum parts of simple to high complexity with high accuracy and adherence to quality standards. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CNC OPERATOR AT DWT
- Ensure company procedures and "best machine practices" are in place at all times.
- Check for machine readiness to ensure functionality and performance, complete general maintenance as needed, including removal and replacement of worn tooling
- Operate a variety of CNC machines, load & unload materials from machines.
- Verify quantity and conformance of finished work order to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
- Upkeep deburr area
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
- Assist machinists as needed
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws
- Other job duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, measuring tools and methods.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and effectively communicate with machinists and supervisor
- Ability to read and understand a variety of drawings, manuals, work instructions, tooling instructions, blueprints or work orders
