JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operating CNC routing equipment in our carbon fiber composites factory. Setup and machining of various carbon fiber composite materials using programs. Read and interpret drawings and CNC programs to ensure machined products meet specifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Setup and running of standard product and custom CNC jobs.
Machine carbon fiber and other specialty materials.
Control inventory of collets, bits, fixture clamps, and spoilboards.
Know about cutting bit functions, speed/feeds, and climbs.
Create toolpaths for production.
Perform maintenance on machines and keep the CNC room clean and organized.
Working from sketches, drawing specs and tolerances, production factory orders, and verbal instructions to make compliant products that meet all specifications.
Troubleshoot machine failures and develop solutions. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make minor mechanical repairs on the CNC machine.
Submit replacement part orders and make necessary minor repairs with oversight from the Production Supervisor and Engineering Department.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
We will consider entry-level candidates who are willing to learn, are dependable, and can work safely. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's experience and skill.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Prefer vocational or technical training.
Prefer experience operating CNC routers, CNC programming, and reading and interpreting drawings, specs, and tolerances.
Prefer knowledge of CAD/CAM tools
