Position Description
Job Summary
CertainTeed is hiring CNC Operators!
We are a growing Company building our Wood Center of Excellence for our wood ceilings offerings.
Hours: 3:30pm -12am, OT as needed, Monday-Friday
Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 an hour
Essential Duties:
The position, reports directly to Operations and produces machined wood panels by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Focus includes:
+ Reading/interpreting blueprint designs of product to customer specification
+ Sets up router to manufacture arts; loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
+ Verifies settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces.
+ Makes tooling adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements
+ Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure positioning of tooling stays perfectly aligned
+ Maintains equipment by performing routine autonomous maintenance

Required Qualifications
+ HS diploma, GED
+ 3-5 years of CNC operations within a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision
+ Methodical/analytical problem-solving skills
+ Strong organizational/time management skills
+ Attention to detail
+ 2 year technical degree in Machine Technology or comparable degree preferred
Additional Description
+ Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards
+ Job includes tasks that require bending, lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs., twisting, gripping, and stair climbing
