Job Title: CNC Machinist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mill machining and a deep understanding of CNC operations, programming, and machine maintenance. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards, and working with a team to improve processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and Interpret Process Sheets & Blueprints: Analyze job specifications to determine machining operations, dimensional requirements, and setup procedures.
• CNC Programming & Operation: Program machines to cut specific parts and run consistent, high-quality production cycles.
• Precision Measurement: Use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure the precision of parts.
• Machine Setup: Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Calculate Machine Parameters: Determine machine speed, feed rates, and cutting specifications for optimal performance.
• Quality Control: Inspect first-run pieces and periodically spot-check subsequent pieces to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaboration: Work with the team to continuously improve CNC processes and enhance overall productivity and quality.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of mill machining experience, with a proven track record in CNC operations.
• Live tooling experience for advanced machining operations.
• Strong mathematical and computer skills for programming and operation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and meet quality standards.
• Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
