Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set-Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. The CNC Mill Set-Up Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Machine Set-Up: Prepare and set up CNC milling machines for production runs according to job specifications and work instructions.
Tooling Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments based on job requirements and material specifications.
Programming: Load, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs as necessary to achieve desired machining outcomes.
Material Preparation: Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly for machining operations.
Quality Control: Monitor machining processes to ensure parts meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
Adjustments and Optimization: Make adjustments to machine settings, tool offsets, and feed rates to optimize machining processes and maintain quality.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC milling machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including tooling usage, machine settings, and quality inspection data.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
