Are you a seasoned CNC Mill Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to expand your skills and contribute to a dynamic team? We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Mill Set Up Machinist with a knack for precision and a deep understanding of specialty metals. This role offers a chance to work with advanced machinery, be part of a dedicated team, and contribute to the creation of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
1. Setting up and operating CNC mills to perform various machine functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring of metallic workpieces using the appropriate tools.
2. Interpreting complex blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to plan machining activities.
3. Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
4. Calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
5. Verifying conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
6. Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving issues during the machining process.
8. Working with various materials, including Beryllium, Aluminum Beryllium, and other specialty metals.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
2. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills with a high degree of precision (+/-0.001).
3. Extensive knowledge of various materials, including Beryllium, Aluminum Beryllium, and other specialty metals.
4. Ability to interpret complex blueprints and engineering plans, as well as a solid understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during the machining process.
6. Strong commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
