About the Job
CNC MACHINIST II
CNC Machinist will be responsible for developing machines that cut a variety of raw materials into useful tools and parts for production.
•Setup, adjust, and secure work piece in the machine.
•Able to read blueprints/diagrams, tape measure by millimeters dial caliper and any other measuring instruments as needed.
•Able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly handled, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
•Able to effectively communicate.
•Contributes to identifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
•Intermediate PC knowledge.
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
•Problem solving and reasoning skills.
•Able to identify problems.
•Models positive and professional work ethics.
•Uses Operational Method Sheets, Graphical Operating Sheets, drawings, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
•Able to access information needed within ERP system.
•Perform complex machine setups and critical operations with limited supervision.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
•Assist in other work areas as needed.
•Must be completely cross trained on multiple machines.
•Able to use advanced tooling.
•Understands principles of basic machine operations.
•Intermediate PC knowledge.
•All requirements of a CNC Operator I plus.
•Contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost.
•Minimal problem-solving and interfacing with other departments.
•Other duties as assigned.
•3-5 years of experience or equivalent.
•High school diploma.
•An understanding of machining/fabricating fundamentals.
•CNC Programming experience (G-code/M-code).
•Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro E.
•Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and prints.
•Ability to effectively communicate and interact with both Production and Engineering employees.
•Strong problem solving and reasoning skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
