We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our production process, utilizing their skills as a machinist to lay out projects, program, operate CNC machines, and handle a variety of lathes. This is a permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain CNC machines and lathes to perform a variety of functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to plan machining activities.
3. Program CNC machines according to the layout of the project.
4. Carry out regular maintenance checks on machinery, systems, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement machining processes and applications.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues in a timely manner.
8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a machinist in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in operating and maintaining CNC machines and a variety of lathes.
3. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans.
4. Solid knowledge of different metals and their properties.
5. Excellent programming skills and familiarity with CAD/CAM technology.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Committed to adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
