About Us: This company is a leading facility that custom designs tooling for a wide range of customers in heavy equipment, agriculture, mining, appliance, aircraft-aerospace and automotive industries. They work with their customer, as a team, to develop a workable concept and then follow the project to a 100% completed engineered design. All of their designs meet or exceed customer standards based on customer specifications. Their Engineering department specializes in designing large to small Tack Weld Fixtures, Machining Fixtures, Holding Fixtures and many other specialty tools / gages with optional manual, hydraulic or pneumatic clamping.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with project management experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating CNC machines, programming, and setting up tooling. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints provided and manage multiple jobs from start to finish.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior machinists as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a job shop environment.
- Proficiency in operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
