Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Program and set up precision CNCs to produce custom components according to engineering specifications.
Perform machining operations, including turning, drilling, milling, and threading, to fabricate high-precision parts.
Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs, provide input on manufacturability, and optimize machining processes for cost-effective production.
Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in optimal condition, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience programming and operating precision screw machines, preferably with knowledge of Swiss-type machining.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and machining techniques.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to collaboration and problem-solving.
