CNC Machinist from Elgen Staffing

Our client, a precision metals manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Machinist, to join their winning team in Narragansett.

Our candidate of choice must be skilled in lathe and milling machine operation including programming and operation of a Bridgeport EZ-track mill and/or Trak Prototrak mill. You must be able to write an appropriate program on the milling machine in order to efficiently machine a part.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or tools

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist
• Proficient in operating milling machines and lathes.
• Skilled in using calipers and other precision measuring instruments
• Experience with programming and operating CNC machines
• Knowledge of tooling selection and setup for different machining operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
