SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Swiss Lathe CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machining Equipment to manufacture both metallic and non-metallic components. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be able to set up and run a Swiss CNC lathe and ensure conformance to print specifications given a program and tool list.
· Monitor machine operations to verify the accuracy of machine settings and detect any malfunctions or machining deviations using precision measurement instruments. Make adjustments to maintain part accuracy.
· Perform routine Quality Control inspections and document findings throughout the production process.
· Make necessary edits to CNC programs as needed.
· Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
· De-burr and clean parts to meet specifications.
· Maintain cleanliness and optimal functioning of equipment, tooling, and parts to ensure efficient production.
· Adhere to safety regulations and work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· At least 2 years Swiss lathe operation.
· Proficiency in G and M codes for programming, editing, setting up, and operating Citizen or other CNC equipment.
· Familiarity with production CNC operations.
· Ability to interpret engineering prints and work instructions.
· Accurate measurement skills for Quality Control purposes.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with great attention to detail.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE/SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the minimum requirements, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Advanced Manufacturing/ Precision Machining degrees/certificates or equivalent experience.
· Functional knowledge and previous experience in the use of Esprit for developing CNC programs.
Working Conditions: This role is based at our facility located at 14062 Riverport Dr., where you will work in a climate-controlled, non-smoking environment. It may require day or evening shifts, as well as occasional overtime.
Physical Requirements: The job may involve extended periods of standing and the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
