Our growing company is hiring for a CNC machinist. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities
· Ability to make and/or recommend adjustment to regulate part configuration both manually and through machine controls along with the understanding of basic shop math to perform needed calculations.
· Setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials.
· Setup and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining center on a large variety of material.
· Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, tape readouts and shop orders to plan and check work.
· Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy.
· Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
· Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
· Locate zero point, indicate work to ensure parallelism, reposition material to obtain zero points on X and Y axis and maintain proper distance between parts in relationship to tape control requirements.
· Machine and build state of the art tooling to support product manufacturing.
· Machine and assemble advanced test equipment used for product calibration and reliability assurance.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of knowledge of CNC milling machining centers
· Machining parts to print specifications using machine tools such as lathes, mills, shapers, or grinders.
· Be able to identify non-conforming parts using precision measuring instruments.
· Set up CNC Equipment and align parts in appropriate work holdings.
· Must be able to set tooling and apply offsets.
· Using tooling and material data the employee must be able to calculate surface footage to machine components.
· Must be able to edit program, setup machine and operate CNC Machine efficiently.
· Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for the parts being run (includes Geometric Tolerancing).
· Collect and input SPC data which involves the use of comparator, CMM, Trimos, gages and related test instruments.
· Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required (i.e., deburring).

Education
· High school or equivalent.
