Are you passionate about the manufacturing industry and have a knack for operating CNC machines? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machine operation, lathe operation, mill operation, grinding, and set up. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Operating and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
2. Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
3. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
4. Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
5. Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and making any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
6. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
7. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of the operating and maintenance procedures for CNC machines.
3. Proficiency in interpreting and following technical drawings and blueprints.
4. Strong understanding of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
7. High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
